In the late Georgian and Regency periods, the Fan Back decorated chair was the height of fashion in the drawing room. This copy has the exact scale and proportions of the best of the original examples. Painted, gilded and hand-caned by our master craftsmen, Classic Chairs have kept to the delicate feel and colouring of the lighter chairs of the late 18th and early 19th centuries which were often luxuriously decorated. The seat is hand caned and furnished with a ‘squab’cushion which can be in your choice of fabric.
